WE MET WITH A CHINESE DELEGATION-HH

This afternoon, we met with a Chinese delegation from LONGi Green Energy Technology Company, that wants to invest in our country’s energy sector. We are committed to solving the energy challenges that have been made worse by the drought we faced last year.

Without enough energy, our economy will struggle to grow. We have urged LONGi Green Energy Technology Company to speed up their investment here in Zambia. We have set big targets for ourselves of wanting to reach 10 gigawatts of energy capacity in the next five years, with at least 1 gigawatt by December 2025. To make this possible, our government is working hard on the policy changes needed in the energy sector to support these goals.
